综上所述，研究团队认为，分子氢对肝脏脂肪堆积具有抑制作用，并作为一种保护机制促进自噬。该研究结果为氢气治疗作为NAFLD的辅助治疗提供了证据。
【研究结论】
根据上面的动物实验、以及富氢水和吸入氢气干预试验，证明氢气可以作为一种新型调脂剂，有望用于预防/治疗动脉硬化，以及高血脂症引起的各种疾病（如非酒精性脂肪肝）。
在氢气的干预方式上，针对中老年人，建议日常采用饮用富氢水、吸入氢气治疗，并长期（3-6个月）坚持，可能会有更好效果。
